"Anotação e transcrição e funcional em sala de aula para a aquisição vocabular em inglês: um estudo de caso."
EFL Vocabulary Acquisition, Note taking, Functional transcription
This research aims to describe the acquisition of vocabulary through the implementation of a pedagogical cycle of written and oral production tasks using Note taking strategies (MAYER, 1978; CARRIER, 1983) and functional transcription (JAFARI & al.; 2016, STONES, 2014; MENNIM, 2003, 2007; COOKE, 2013; LYNCH, 2007), as well as new tools for teaching and learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL) (affordances). The study is a qualitative survey and seeks to answer the following research question: "How to analyze high school EFL students Second Language Acquisition (SLA) process, from the application of a didactic sequence (SD), the use of an instructional cycle to perform note-taking, make and use interview records and their transcriptions?". So, a pilot study of the case of 17 EFL technical second-year students was conducted last year (2017-02). We present some students’ written productions analysis as evidence of self-regulation and improvement in the vocabulary acquisition process of EFL (DÖRNYEI, 2000; LARSEN-FREEMAN, 1997, 2002, 2006; LARSEN-FREEMAN & CAMERON, 2008; MERCER, 2013).
